◎Introduction
NH8003 & NH8505 are polyester resins with high and low acid value respectively, which are used in polyester/TGIC powder coating system. NH-8003 and NH-8505 are respectively made into powder and dry mixed to produce outdoor semi-gloss powder coatings.
With its advantages of economy, environmental protection, high efficiency, and excellent performance, powder coatings are gradually replacing organic solvent-based coatings and become an important development direction in the coatings industry, which has maintained a rapid growth rate. Polyester powder coatings are widely used in the field of painting due to their excellent durability, decoration, and processability.
Polyester powder coatings use polyester resin as the main film-forming material, add TGIC, HAA, epoxy resin, etc. as curing agents, supplemented by leveling agents, additives, pigment fillers, and other components, after mixing, melting and other processes processed into powder coating. The powder coating is electrostatically sprayed on the workpiece. At a certain temperature and time, the resin is melted and cross-linked and then solidified into a smooth, hard, and flexible coating. The cured coating film will not be softened again due to the increase in temperature, and the coating is solvent-free, pollution-free, and 100% film-forming, which not only saves resources but also saves energy.
