General Purpose Polyester Epoxy Resin for 60/40 Hybrid Powder Coatings
◎Introduction
HH2608GT is tribo version of HH2608G, it is a carboxyl polyester resin designed for 60/40 hybrid powder coatings for general purpose. With excellent gas oven stability.
Powder coatings are solvent-free, non-polluting, recyclable, environmentally friendly, save energy and resources, reduce labor intensity, and have high mechanical strength of the coating film, so they have developed rapidly and are widely used in home appliances, automotive coatings, aluminum alloy doors, and windows, as well as metal and non-metallic exterior decorative coatings protection. At present, there are basically three heating methods on the coating production line: electric heating, gas heating, and oil heating. In many areas of our country, due to the shortage and high cost of industrial electricity, diesel, natural gas, etc. are widely used as heat sources for heaters in coating lines. However, directly heated by a gas furnace, the baking of the gas will affect the surface color of the powder coating, thereby affecting the final coating effect.
Polyester resin HH2608GT is synthesized by adding a certain amount of antioxidant and anti-yellowing agent to make it resistant to direct-fired furnace heating. Therefore, the powder coating prepared with this resin will not affect the surface color even when the coating production line is heated by gas.
