◎Introduction
HH2784 is a carboxyl polyester resin designed for 70/30 hybrid powder coatings.
As a kind of paint with zero VOC emission, powder coating has the characteristics of high efficiency, resource-saving, environmental protection and excellent comprehensive performance. Compared with traditional solvent-based coatings, powder coatings have obvious advantages. In many fields, powder coatings are gradually replacing traditional solvent-based coatings. Although powder coatings have environmental advantages, with the tightening of environmental regulations, some application fields with skin contact and food contact characteristics have also restricted the raw materials used. In recent years, there have been several non-industrial poisoning incidents related to chemical substances in coatings, which have attracted great attention from all parties. Relevant departments have also issued relevant restrictive laws and regulations. For example, the EU REACH regulations clearly limit the amount of organotin in powder coatings. content, IKEA stipulates that tin should not be contained in polyester powder coatings for toys and furniture. On June 27, 2018, EU REACH officially issued a notice to include trimellitic anhydride (TMA) in the SVHC candidate list and pointed out that TMA has respiratory sensitization.
