93/7 HAA Dry Blended Polyetser Resin for Powder Coating with Low Gloss
◎Introduction
NH6381 are saturated carboxyl polyester resins for low gloss polyester/primid (93:7) powder coatings by dry blending procedure.
At present, powder coatings for outdoor use are usually cured with TGIC. However, due to the physiological toxicity of TGIC, it has been banned by the European Union and other places. Therefore, the use of environmentally friendly and non-toxic HAA to replace TGIC has become the trend in the powder coating industry.
With the change in people's aesthetic concepts and the problem of light pollution caused by high-gloss coatings, matte powder coatings that can produce soft surface effects are more and more widely used.
Dry-blending matting method is a commonly used method for preparing matte powder coatings. This method uses different polyesters with large differences in reactivity during the curing process. Due to the difference in reactivity, the coating surface produces a microscopically rough surface to achieve a matting effect. The gloss of 18-45 can be obtained without adding a matting aid, and the overall cost is low.
