Tin-free Hybrid Polyester Epoxy Resin with Excellent Mechanical Properties
◎Introduction
HH2582A is a saturated polyester resin, the tin-free version of HH2582. Mainly used for 50/50 polyester/epoxy hybrid powder coatings systems.
Models with an A indicate that this polyester resin is tin-free, which is mainly prepared by using tin-free catalysts.
Powder coating has the characteristics of high construction efficiency, wide application range, no VOC emission, environmental protection, energy saving, etc. It is an excellent coating with high efficiency and environmental protection. However, as the country pays more and more attention to environmental protection work, the people's awareness of environmental protection is also increasing, and higher requirements are also placed on the environmental protection of powder coatings. At present, manufacturers of polyester resins for powder coatings all over the world mainly use butyltin compounds as esterification catalysts for polyester resins. After the catalytic reaction, butyltin catalysts remain in the molecular structure of polyester resins and gradually precipitate out over time. To the coating surface, it has mutagenic effects on the environment and biology. At present, organotin compounds have been identified as endocrine disruptors and important persistent toxic substances.
HH2582A is completely free of tin, and the powder coatings prepared with it can completely solve the above problems.
