50/50 Hybrid Polyester Epoxy Resin with Excellent Mechanical Properties
◎Introduction
HH2583G is a saturated polyester resin, mainly used for 50/50 polyester/epoxy hybrid powder coatings systems.
Advantages of powder coating:
1. Powder coatings do not contain organic solvents, which can effectively avoid fire, poisoning, and unsafe transportation caused by organic solvents.
2. There is no air pollution caused by organic solvents, and it meets the requirements for preventing air pollution.
3. The powder coating is a solid system, and a closed-circuit circulation system can be used. The over-sprayed powder coating can be recycled and reused, and the utilization rate of the coating is as high as 95%.
4. The molecular weight of the resin used in the powder coating is larger than that of the solvent-based coating. Hence, the performance and durability of the coating film are much improved compared to the solvent-based coating.
5. When the powder coating is applied, the thickness of the coating film can be controlled, and the thickness of one coating can reach 30-500um, which is equivalent to the thickness of several to a dozen coats of solvent-based coatings, which reduces the number of constructions, which is beneficial to Energy saving increases production efficiency.
6. In the actual construction process, the viscosity of the powder coating does not need to be adjusted with the seasonal changes, the construction operation is convenient, it does not require very skilled operation techniques, and it is not easy to produce sagging and other film defects during thick coating, and it is easy to realize automatic assembly line production.
7. It is easy to maintain the hygiene of the construction environment. The powder adhering to the skin can be blown off with compressed air or washed with warm water and soapy water. No harsh cleaning agent is required to clean it.
8. Powder coating does not need to use solvent, which is an effective energy-saving measure, because the starting material of most solvents is petroleum. This reduces the amount of solvent and directly saves the consumption of raw materials.
