Low Cure TGIC Polyester Resin with Excellent Leveling for Powder Coatings
◎Introduction
NH3368-2 is a saturated polyester resin, mainly used in polyester/TGIC powder coating systems.
Energy saving and environmental protection is the main theme of the development of today's world. Due to the outstanding performance of environmental protection, powder coatings will gradually replace solvent-based coatings and become the main development direction and development trend of the coatings industry. However, the film forming and curing temperatures of ordinary powder coatings are all between 180°C and 220°C, and the baking time is about 10 to 30 minutes. On the one hand, this limits the application field of powder coatings and restricts the development of powder coatings. On the other hand, high temperatures and long-term curing conditions will inevitably require a lot of energy consumption, which makes powder coatings, not energy-saving. Therefore, reducing the curing temperature of powder coatings to make powder coatings both environmentally friendly and energy-saving is an inevitable trend in the future development of powder coatings.
Low-temperature curing energy-saving powder coatings refer to powder coatings cured at a curing temperature of 150-160°C. Compared with ordinary powder coatings (curing temperature of 180-220°C), they have a lower curing temperature and are more energy-saving and environmentally friendly.
