Durable 93/7 Saturated TGIC Polyester Resins for Low Curing Powder Coatings
◎Introduction
NH3363 is a saturated carboxyl polyester resin for polyester/TGIC powder coating system, it is designed for low temperature curing powder coatings, which is cost-effecive and well-performed.
Powder coating and coating has become one of the rapidly developing coating varieties due to its characteristics of resource saving, energy saving, pollution-free, high labor production efficiency and easy to realize automatic coating. Now it has become a recognized 4E type coating product with high production efficiency, excellent film performance, eco-friendly and economical.
In thermosetting powder coatings, leveling agents are one of the essential additives in the composition of powder coatings. Whether it is high-gloss, glossy, semi-gloss, matt or matt powder coatings, leveling agents must be added to powder coating formulations. Compared with liquid coatings, the leveling of powder coatings is much more difficult than that of liquid coatings, and the leveling of powder coatings is also much worse than that of liquid coatings, which has a lot to do with the fact that powder coatings do not contain solvents. The film-forming process of powder coatings relies on the flow of resin in the molten state and adhesion to each other. The high melt viscosity restricts its free flow, and the leveling effect is slightly poor, with slight orange peel. Improving the leveling of powder coating film and forming a coating film with good appearance has always been the focus of the powder coating industry.
Powder coatings generally improve the leveling properties of powder coatings by adding leveling agents. By balancing the surface tension gradient of the coating film, the Bernard vortex effect is relieved, the orange peel is relieved, and the coating film has better leveling properties.
