TGIC Blending Saturated Polyester Resin For Outdoor Low Gloss Powder Coatings
Introduction
NH8901 and NH8605 are high and low acid value polyester resins respectively, which are used in polyester/TGIC powder coating system. Using NH8901 and NH8605 to make powder respectively and then dry mixing can make outdoor semi-gloss powder coating.
Compared with other types of powder coatings, polyester resin powder coatings have unique properties, which are embodied in better weather resistance and UV resistance than epoxy resins. In addition, because polyester resin has polar groups, the powder rate is higher than that of epoxy resin, it is not easy to yellow during the baking process, has high gloss, good leveling, full paint film, light color and other characteristics. Very decorative. Generally used in refrigerators, washing machines, vacuum cleaners, instrument housings, bicycles, furniture and other fields. The coating of powder coating can be divided into high gloss, semi-gloss, low gloss and matt according to the gloss, among which high gloss products occupy a larger proportion. However, with the increasing application and popularization of high-gloss products, light pollution is caused. As a result, the demand for low-gloss coatings has gradually increased.
Resin is an indispensable ingredient in coatings, so we can achieve low gloss by mixing resins with different reactivity to make the coating film shrink unevenly and produce micro-roughness. This method can avoid the use of matting agents and reduce the cost of coatings.
